First art classes

When I was 9 years old, I started to take my first specialised classes with José Ma Martínez, and I entered the world of painting. The teacher’s favourite subject was the Italian Madonnas, since he was very religious, and his favourite painter was Fray Filippo Lippi. I’m still very fond of him, and this was requited.

Mr. Martínez used to paint, and at his last exhibition, before he died, I bought a painting which in sentimental terms is one of my most important pieces. He had moved from figurative painting, to practically abstract painting.
